This will be my 10th year working in the East Helena District, and my th teaching the best grade ever at Eastgate...KINDERGARTEN! Prior to coming to Eastgate I was a para-educator at Radley for 1 year and a pre-Kindergarten teacher for seven years in Wisconsin. I love being a Kindergarten teacher and watching the kids grow over the year. Starting Kindergarten is an exciting time in a child's life and I feel so lucky to be a part of it.
I am originally from southern Saskatchewan where I grew up on a farm southeast of Regina. When I was 11 my family moved to Medicine Hat, Alberta. I received my teaching degree in 2001 from the University of Lethbridge and was a substitute teacher in Red Deer, Alberta following graduation. I moved to the United States in 2002 when I married my husband Chris, who is from Wisconsin. We moved to beautiful Montana in 2009 and love it here. We have two wonderful and active sons, Kelton, who is 14 and Cooper who is 8. I love, love, LOVE to read and some of my favorite books are Charlotte's Web, anything by Roald Dahl, The Princess Bride, Harry Potter, The Hunger Games series and Mitch Albom, to name a few. My favorite movies include, The Princess Bride, the Star Wars series, Harry Potter series and anything that will make me laugh. I grew up playing softball and am a huge sports fan. I cheer loud for my Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Canadian Football League and the Edmonton Oilers in the NHL. Since moving to the States I have come to love the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.
I am committed to making your child's first year at school a great one and I look forward to working with you to help your child learn many new things. 2019-202 is going to be a great year!
