Hello ! Welcome to
My Radley Resource Page
Biography
I grew up in Granite County, Montana. After graduating high school, I attended the University of Montana in Missoula with a double major. I graduated in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a bachelor's degree in elementary education.
I began my career at the preschool level working with children with disabilities. Following graduation, I began working specifically with children with autism in their home environments using a type of applied behavioral analysis called Discrete Trial Training. However, my dream was to have my own classroom! I spent a year working in the Frenchtown Public Schools as a paraprofessional before taking a job in Great Falls as a fourth grade teacher.
As much as I loved teaching fourth grade, life had more changes as my husband and I chose to relocate to Helena for permanent employment and to start our "real" life. I was happy to accept the teaching position here in the East Helena Public Schools and have been here ever since!
Recently, I continued my education and my passion for psychology and education by obtaining my Masters of Science degree in educational psychology. I also completed and received my National Board Certification in literacy. These were both eye opening experiences and I was even more excited than ever to be a classroom teacher!
In 2020, I changed positions to become the Instructional Coach at Radley. I love helping in the classrooms and finding ways to make Radley great!
I am married and have three children ages twenty, seventeen, and twelve that attend or have attended East Helena Public Schools! As a proud parent, I recognize how important it is that children receive the best education they can and I strive to bring that attitude to our bulding. If you ever have questions or concerns, my door is always open and I would love to hear your thoughts!
