         Thanks for checking out my web page! My name is Kim Metzger and I am the Indian Ed Specialist for the East Helena School District. I am super excited about my position and look forward to meeting and working with many new students, parents and people in the East Helena community. My new job will cover all 4 schools- EVMS, Radley, Prickly Pear and Eastgate- so if you need to reach me, you can leave a message at any of the schools!
         Before moving to East Helena in 2008, I taught middle school Language Arts for eight years in Harlem, Montana, and fifth grade for four years in Great Falls. I earned my Bachelors Degree from MSU-Northern in 1994, and my Masters Degree from Lesley University in 2008. 
         I am married to Oren and we have two children. George is 35 and married to Stephanie. They have 2 incredible boys: Everett (Peanut) is 7 and is in 2nd grade at Prickly Pear, and Joel (Squirt) who is 5 and will be in Kindergarten at Eastgate. They live in East Helena, just a few blocks away from us. Our daughter Amber who is 38, her husband Ryan, and our 3 awesome grandsons, Kendall (19) who is in the Army, Grant (18) a freshman at MT Tech, Ethan (16) and our beautiful 2 year old granddaughter, Kennadie, live in Fromberg. We also have an amazing 11-year-old yellow lab named Thunder.
         I am a die-hard Chicago Cubs and Minnesota Vikings fan! We also enjoy watching the Carroll College Saints football team. I love to walk, read, do anything that involves sunshine, host big holiday dinners for family and friends, and I am learning to golf. My family also loves to hunt and fish.
         I am so excited to be part of the East Helena School District for the 10th year and have the opportunity to work with the wonderful students here!
