My name is Marne Bender and I live in East Helena with my husband (who is the high school government teacher at EHHS), our son Clark and daughter Elise, and our yellow lab named Blu. I am originally from Deer Lodge, MT. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Montana in 2009. I completed my master's degree program in Educational Technology from Boise State University in 2015. I completed my library media endorsement from Montana State University in the spring of 2017.
I am embarking on my 14th year in education for the 2022-2023 school year. I taught six years of fourth grade, and one year of Title I, before moving on to middle school library where I currently reside. I run two student groups at EVMS which include Book Crew and EVMS Esports- Rocket League/Smash Ultimate. I am also the head coach/manager for EHHS Vigilante Esports.
When I'm not teaching, you might find me racing to keep up with my active kiddos, enjoying the outdoors, or watching cooking shows. I also love watching sports. My favorite sports to watch are football and basketball, GO GRIZ!!!
