How do I powerwash my Chromebooks
Since everything is stored in the cloud on Chromebooks, one of the easiest ways to resolve issues with the device is to factory reset it (powerwash it). There are two ways to achieve this:
Method 1
- Hold down esc + refresh and press the power button
- On the screen that shows up, press Ctrl + d
- Press enter on the next screen (wipe device)
- Press enter again (OS verification is off - press enter to turn on)
- Click through the prompts on reboot, select the Vigilante Guest network
- Login
Method 2
- Sign out of the Chromebook
- Hold Shift + Ctrl + Alt + r (you have to hold for a few seconds)
- Select restart
- Once restarted - select Powerwash
- Click through the prompts on reboot, select the Vigilante Guest network
- Login

How do I grant subs access to my Google Classroom?
1) Go into your Google Classroom and navigate to the People tab
2) Select the icon to the right of Teachers and select Invite teachers
3) Search for the name of the sub account for your school and select invite

4) When you return, you will need to remove the sub accounts from your classroom

What is Clever?
Clever is a single-sign-on tool that our district utilizes to provide our students with an easier online experience. At the sign-in screen for many district apps, users will be prompted with an option to sign in using Clever. Some of the district apps that we utilize Clever to access are: iReady, iStation, eHallpass, GoGuardian, McGraw Hill, and cadience. This one stop shop option saves everyone time and energy.

As a substitute / guest, which WiFi do I connect to?
The guest network is open for use.
1) Select the network called "Vigilante Guest"2) Navigate to a website on that device. A terms and conditions page will pop up for you to accept.

How do I submit a support ticket?
1) Select the arrow on the bottom right of your task bar
2) Select the black box icon (pictured top left)
3) Click the icon, then click "Help Request Form"
4) Fill out the form. Then, when you are done, select "send", and your ticket will be sent to IT.

How do I activate MFA / 2FA for Google?
1) Go to https://myaccount.google.com/signinoptions/two-step-verification
Note: You may have to log into your Google account first (it will prompt you)
2) Select "Enroll"
3) Select "Get started"
4) If you are logged into your school email on your phone, you'll be able to receive a notification on your phone for MFA. Otherwise, select "Text message or voice call"
5) Regardless of what method you choose, you'll need to enter a primary phone number that can be used as a primary or backup option.
6) Select "Send", then enter the code you received to confirm this number.
7) On the next screen, make sure that 2-Step Verification is on. If not, choose "TURN ON"
8) You're done! If you have any issues feel free to open a support ticket!

My SMART Board is showing a different screen than my computer!
1) To change what screen it is showing, hit Windows + P to bring up the "Project" dialog.
2) If you want both your SMART Board and your monitor to show the same screen, select "Duplicate". If you wish to have the SMART Board act as a separate monitor, select "Extend"

How do I turn on my SMART Board and connect to my computer?
1) Locate the buttons on the bottom right of the pannel
2) Press the power button - shown here as button #7
3) Press the input button - shown as button #2
4) Four "screens" will appear on the smart board. One of them should be your computer's screen. Select that input by tapping on it.

A networked printer isn't showing up!
1) Click the arrow at the bottom right of your taskbar
2) Click the black square icon (top left in the picture)
3) Hover over the "Printers" drop-down and select the printers associated with your school. This will run a script that will add the printers.
