East Helena Public Schools

Hi! My name is Jodi Wigen and I am the 7th Grade Communication Arts teacher. This is my fourth year teaching Communication Arts at East Valley Middle School. I was the Instructional Tutor at East Helena High School before moving to the middle school. I absolutely love this district and have been a parent in the district for many years. I am incredibly excited to be a part of this amazing community and to be teaching at EVMS.

I was raised on a farm in North Central Montana and attended school in Kremlin and Gildford. I continued my education in Dillon at the University of Montana - Western, receiving my degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics. I am a mom to four wonderful daughters. I enjoy spending my free time with my husband, daughters, and our dog, Mac. We spend our time attending and participating in various sports, playing games, and watching movies.

My goal this year is to encourage my students to be lifelong learners and to enjoy reading, writing, and speaking. I believe that all students can be successful, and I cannot wait to see them accomplish so much this year!
