• Welcome!  I'm so happy you're here.  My name is Karly Olson and I teach 5th grade at Radley Elementary.

I was born in Yakima, WA, lived for a few years in Idaho Falls, ID, and then ended up in Buffalo, NY for the rest of my childhood through high school.  I decided to head west again and attended Ricks College (now Brigham Young University Idaho) where I received my Associate's Degree, before transfering to Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, UT where I received my Bachelor's Degree.  I am currently working on a Masters Degree through Western Governors University.  I taught reading at Radley for the last two years and am excited to move to 5th grade!

I have been married for 22 years to my husband, Nick.  He is the Air Traffic Manager at the Great Falls Air Traffic Control Tower.  We have three sons.  Lukas is 17 and a senior at Helena High School.  Slade is 14 and is a freshman at East Helena High School.  Kroy is 8 years old and will be joining me at Radley this year in the 3rd grade.  We have a 12 year old dog named Aidia who recently lost most of her hearing.  My boys are very involved in football, basketball, and baseball.  We love to cheer for our sports teams; the Buffalo Bills, BYU, and the Utah Jazz.

When I'm not with my family, watching my boys play sports, or at school, I also love to read, listen to books on audible while running, Toby Keith music, and browsing Hobby Lobby and Target.  I love to drink Diet Mountain Dew and Diet Coke.  I love the color teal in all different shades and I always wear earrings!

The 2021-2022 school year is going to be a great one!
