Get to know Mr. Krantz!
Hello! Thank you for visiting my webpage! I am so thrilled to share the passion and joy I have for music with students of all ages. Allow me to share a little bit about myself. I am a Montana native, born and raised in Helena, MT. My passion for music began in middle school, when I chose to play alto saxophone in the band program. This led has led to manymore years of music making, from concert bands to jazz bands, choirs, quartets, combos, and solo literature. My junior year of high school I took up clarinet as well which further developed my passion for music. Now, I look forward to any type of music I can get my hands on!
I currently hold a Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Montana, and I hope to further my studies of music throughout my life. I have taught multiple years of saxophone and clarinet lessons, and have worked in all types of music classrooms from Kindergarten to 12th grade. I look forward to working with all students and showing them all the wonderful opportunities that music can bring them in their life. Another thing to know about me: I am a die hard Kansas City Chiefs fan! I love golfing and enjoying the outdoors as well.
What happened this summer, you might ask? You might have seen me out and about delivering sod to our new East Helena homes. It was such a pleasure to help serve our community this summer, and get to see some students along the way. Luckily, inbetween deliveries I was able to find some time to travel and fish. Boy oh boy did summer go by quickly!
This year I privilege of teaching music at THREE schools here in East Helena! You will see me moving and grooving with all PreK, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade students at Eastgate and Prickly Pear Elementary. In addition, I will instruct the Radley Beginning Band for ALL of our 5th graders at Radley Elementary. Thanks again for checking out my webpage! I look forward to working with you for this upcoming 2023-2024 school year!
