Hi there! I’m Holly Somerfeld and I will be your 6th grade Social Studies teacher. This is my third year teaching Social Studies with East Valley Middle School being my home for my entire teaching career.

I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska but made the journey to Helena, MT to continue my education at Carroll College in elementary education with a minor in special education where I continued my volleyball career. I enjoy spending my free time with my husband and my sweet pup, Millie as we go camping, play games, and watching movies.

My goal is to prepare students to be functioning members of society through reading, writing, and speaking as we discover our pass history. I believe that all students can find success and I can’t wait to assist students in accomplishing this!
