Hello!

I’m Whitney McLaughlin, and I will be your 6th grade Communication Arts teacher. This is my 6th year teaching, and I have been at EVMS my entire career. I love teaching middle school, and I think EVMS is the best of the best!

I am the second oldest of four sisters. I grew up in Helena, and I graduated from Carroll College in 2012 with a degree in English Education. While in college, I had the opportunity to play for the Carroll Golf Team. I also earned a Masters of Education from MSU in 2020. In my free time, I love to spend time with my two nieces, read, and hang out at the lake.

My goal is to prepare students to be productive members of society and encourage them to be effective communicators – through reading, writing, and speaking. I believe all students can find success in the classroom, and I expect my students to give their best effort always. I am looking forward to a great year!
