    Income Eligibility Guidelines             Free & Reduced Price Online Application  

                                            School Breakfast/Lunch

    All students will have the opportunity to eat breakfast and/or lunch at our schools.  

    Any student who has an approved application on file for free or reduced-price lunch is automatically eligible for free or reduced-price breakfast.                                         

    School breakfasts provide a good start toward meeting the daily nutritional needs of food energy, protein, vitamins, and minerals of students.  Minimum requirements for a reimbursable breakfast are:                                      

    One-half pint of milk

    4 oz. full-strength juice or 4 oz. fruit or vegetable

    Two one-ounce (1 oz.) servings of bread or a cereal grain product, or

    Two one-ounce (1 oz.) servings of a meat/approved meat  alternate, or

    1 oz. serving of bread or cereal grain product and 1 oz. of meat/approved meat alternate

     Students in grades K-8 have the opportunity to eat either a hot or cold lunch at school or to go home for lunch with written notice  from parents.  Lunches may be purchased on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.    Menus are prepared and sent home monthly so you can plan ahead for the days your child will eat hot lunch at  school. Students eating a cold lunch may purchase a carton of milk. If your family income qualifies you for free  or reduced-priced lunches, an application can be obtained at the school office or cafeteria.  Salad Bar is offered at all schools.                                                                           

     Multiple lunch credits may be purchased in the school cafeteria from 8:00-8:20 each morning.  Please purchase credits in advance.                                                  

     Lunches:  Reduced-price meals           $  .40                           

                      Student Full-priced               $3.00                                                    

                      Adult Meals                            $4.30                                                   

    Breakfast:  Reduced-price meals          $  .30

                       Student Full-priced meal     $1.50

                       Adult Meals                          $2.00                       

                       Single Carton of Milk           $ .40

                               A La Carte                     $1.00                

         Please make checks out to SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 9 – Cash can easily be lost so checks are preferred.

    2. Charging of meals is for emergencies only. 

    Student Lunches can now be purchased on-line using a credit card in your Infinite Campus parent portal.

       

    Parents, grandparents, and guardians are welcome to join students for lunch.                                                                          Arrangements can easily be made by calling the school office before 9:30 a.m. to reserve lunch.
